Kieron Connolly
Kieron Connolly(born March 14, 1961) is an Irish novelist. His novels 'Water Sign', 'There is a House' and 'Harold' have dealt with subjects as diverse as romance, bereavement and addiction. Although everything about the author seems rooted in Dublin: his novels, accent, comparisons with Brendan Behan and Beckett etc., his place of birth is Thurles, County Tipperary. Connolly first came to public attention when his play 'Tuesday' was produced in the late 1990s. The writer is a nephew of musician ( and former member of The Dubliners ) Bob Lynch. An extract from award-winning Julie Feeney's song 'Knock Knock' was included in the novel 'Harold'. Connolly's new stage play 'The Book of Condolences', directed by Vincent Smith, will be premiered in Dublin, February 22nd, 2016.
